About (ETSC)
Eastwood Tamil Study Centre
Welcome to Eastwood Tamil Study Centre (ETSC). ETSC is a language teaching school to teach Tamil language and to promote Tamil Culture. The classes are held in the Eastwood Public School.ETSC is following the NSW Federation of Tamil School.
School Hours
Classes begin at 2.30 pm on Saturdays. With a fifteen-minute break at 3.30 pm. Lessons resume from 3.45 pm until 5.00 pm.
School Fee info:
ETSC has an annual tuition of $120 (or if paying by term $40/term) per student due upon registration. Every student needs to pay the Tuition and Book Fees at the time of registration.

MESSAGE FROM THE
PRESIDENT
Welcome to the official website of Eastwood Tamil Study Centre. Since it's inception in 1991, Eastwood Tamil Study Centre has taught the Tamil language and culture to hundreds of students from kindergarten to Year 6 and some of those students have now returned as teachers to teach Tamil to others.
Our school is located at Eastwood Public School and operates on Saturdays during normal school term. We are a non-profitable and non-religious school registered with the NSW Federation of Community Languages Schools. We operate with the support of Department of Education and Training and the community.
Our teaching syllabus is based on the NSW Federation of Tamil Schools. The school is lead by a dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to teaching Tamil in a fun and friendly environment through the use of computers, DVD and other multimedia tools.
Our parents and community are a cohesive group with whom you can find resources to network. Please browse through our site to learn more about our school and the activities catered for primary school children. All are welcome.

தமிழ் மொழியை கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்
தமிழ் மொழி நமது தாய் மொழி. பல்வேறு சிறப்புக்களைக் கொண்ட பண்பட்ட மொழி.
தமிழ் என்பது "த" வல்லினத்தையும், "மி" எனும் மெல்லினத்தையும், "ழ்" எனும் இடையினத்தையும் பெற்று வரும் சொல் என்பதே தனிச்சிறப்பாகும்.
அமிழ்தினும் இனியது தமிழ் மொழி என்று பல மொழிகளைப் பயின்ற அறிஞர்கள் பாராட்டுகின்றார்கள்.
"யாமறிந்த மொழிகளிலே தமிழ்மொழிபோல் இனிதாவது எங்கும் காணோம்” என்றார் மகாகவி பாரதியார்.
"தமிழ்” என்பதற்கு ”இனிமை” என்றும் ஒரு பொருளுண்டு. இதனை இனிமையும் அழகும் தமிழ் எனல் ஆகும் என்பதனால் நன்கறியலாம். மேலே காட்டிய தீந்தமிழ், தேந்தமிழ் போன்ற அடைமொழிச் சொற்களும் இதனை மெய்ப்பிக்கும்.
